Sharon L. King, 72, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2015. The daughter of Jacob and Genevieve (Pecore) King, was born February 8, 1943 in Green Bay.
Sharon attended grade school at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral School, and graduated from Green Bay East High School. She continued her education at Lakeshore College, where she completed the paralegal program. Sharon had a diverse history of employment, and she worked most recently as a caregiver.
Sharon is survived by her siblings; Marlene (Joseph) Greatens, De Pere; Glen King (Evanston, IL); and Dale King (Green Bay); sisters-in-law Marilyn King, Manitowoc; and Rena King, Green Bay; as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Marie (Gordon) Heimke; Harriet (Larry) VanDenHeuvel; Donald (Jackie); Larwin; Wayne (Sally); and Gerald as well as other family members.
Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, playing cards, and sharing in all of the milestones of her nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family. We will miss her giving spirit. She lived out her faith by example. One of her last acts of kindness was to bring food to the local homeless shelter. We will miss her "relative bags". And most of all, we will miss her big smile and contagious laughter. She was our living angel.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 9:30am to 11:00am at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, Father Joseph Dorner officiating. Burial will be at the Oneida Cemetery at a later date. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family. The RYAN FUNERAL HOME of De Pere is assisting the family.
