Obituary

Sheila S (Smith) Comeaux R.N. was born on September 19, 1962 and departed January 14, 2012. Sheila passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Green Bay, WI, a daughter of Carol Smith of Green Bay and Robert Smith of Oneida and Washington DC. Sheila graduated from Seymour High school, went on to UW La Crosse and later graduated from NWTC, earning her Degree in Nursing. Sheila was blessed with two daughters, Nicole Smith, Orem, UT and Briana (Smith) Beechtree of Green Bay, WI. Sheila's younger daughter, Briana gave her five beautiful grandchildren, Tristin Smith, Keegan Smith and Roberto Smith. It's with great sadness she lost two beautiful granddaughters, Felicia and Morgan. Sheila was lucky to find and marry her soul mate, Steven Comeaux of Denmark in a beautiful ceremony in Niagara Falls, NY on July 16, 2009. This was the kind of relationship everyone hopes for, they were a perfect match, and lucky to have found each other. Because of their occupation of helping others, they were destined to be together and thus making a perfect match. Sheila was a world renowned artist, creating traditional Oneida Iroquois beadwork outfits. Her works of art was award winning and purchased by the Smithsonian Institution, and the Department of the Interior. She retired from her beading craft to make use of her nursing degree by caring and helping others with disabilities. Sheila enjoyed time playing with her "babies", an adorable Chihuahua named Gi Gi LaRoux, and her faithful cat of many years, Mack Daddy. But above all, Sheila always had a special place in her heart for her granddaughter Tristin, spending as much time as she could. Sheila is survived by her husband Steve Comeaux, mother, Carol Smith of Green Bay, father, Robert Smith of Washington DC, brother, Michael Smith, Green Bay and sister Cheryl (Smith) Free of Marion, WI, daughters Nicole Smith and Briana (Smith) Beechtree. Sheila also has two half-brothers (Tyler and Cyrus) and half-sister, Murhia all of Washington DC. Sheila was preceded in death by all of her grandparents and two infant granddaughters, Felicia, and Morgan. Family and friends may call from 4:00to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere.
