Shirley Mae Danelski, age 72, of De Pere passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon surrounded by her family and her priest. She was born December 1, 1939 in the Town of Preble to the late William and Helen VanDenHeuvel. On October 3, 1959 she married Hank Danelski. Shirley was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family in De Pere. She had worked at Pierquet Appliance, Schrieber Cheese, and then for Kurt Darrow. She belonged to the Red Hatters, Green Bay Women's Club, T.O.P.S., The Moose Lodge, and a reading club with friends and golfing with friends. Shirley cherished her time with family, especially the vacations. She is survived by her husband Hank, her son Scott (Karlene) Danelski, her grandchildren; Wade, Dwight, Nicholas, Brandon, and Richard. Her sisters-in-law Dolly and Evelyn, and Hank's family, Mary Frye, Leo (Diane) Danelski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews survive. Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter Anita Danelski-Gryboski, two brothers, Larry and Clifford, as well as her sister in law Harriet. Friends may call at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere from 4 8pm Thursday. A parish prayer service will be held at 4pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Friday at the church until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating.
