Steve A. Metoxen (Lahtu'kwaha'we- He has the flame along), 57 of Oneida, WI, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024. Steve was born on June 22, 1967 to the late Whitney and Betty (Benishek) Metoxen. He graduated from West De Pere High School in 1985.

Steve was employed at Pechauer Custom Cues in Green Bay for 34 years.

He loved spending time with his family and friends and eating steaks. Steve was well known for playing pool and competing in tournaments. He also enjoyed golfing; he started later in life and became quite good at it.

Steve is survived by his children, KC, Steve (Rose), and Alayna, his granddaughter Josi, his siblings, Bonnie (Darryl) Moore, Barb (Santos) Mendoza, Darrell (Brenda) Metoxen, Kathy Metoxen, and Tammy (Dale) Metoxen. He is further survived by his special friends, Joe Pechauer, Holly DeVillers, and Arlee Castro, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Carl Benishek, and Donald and Ronald Metoxen, his sister Sandi (Fred) Shelk, his niece, Mariah Danforth – Moore, his great niece Precious Metoxen, his great-nephew Drew Danforth, and great-great niece Korra Baillie.

Friends and family may call from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street in De Pere. The Oneida Hymn Singers Song Service will begin at 6:30 PM. A wake service will begin at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, Oct 2, from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, 2937 Freedom Road in Oneida. A Funeral Liturgy will begin immediately following the visitation with Fr. James Biegler officiating.
