Steve Fostner, 59, of Suamico, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 18, 2012 at home, following a brief battle with cancer. The son of Jerome Fostner and the late Marjorie (Van Hecke) Fostner was born July 24, 1952 in Green Bay. He was a Southwest High School graduate and an art major and a graduate from UWGB. He married the former Susan Olson. Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Steve worked for the U.S. Postal Service, but his two true loves were art and cooking. He was a Postal Union Steward and fought very hard for the employees rights.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Sue, his father, Jerry, brothers, Gary (Kathy), Rod (Jenny), Jay, one sister, Dianne (Ray Sell) , mother -in-law, Irene Olson, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete (Nancy) Olson, Mary Beth (Jim) Deviley, Katie (Doug) Page, Diane Olson, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marge, and one brother-in-law, Johnny Olson, his father-in-law, Noel Olson.
Family and friends may call after 8:30 am Saturday at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church, the Heart of St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI on Saturday April 21, 2012, until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday at the church with His brother, Father Jay Fostner, O. Praem, officiating.
