Steven "Ogre" Hubers, 40, began his journey to the spirit world, peacefully at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center on January 18, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born in Green Bay, WI, on March 13, 1985, to Wade R. Hubers and Jennifer Bawyn.
While growing up, Ogre loved to go up north with family. He enjoyed spending time at Shawano Lake and the cabin on Stockbridge Reservation. He loved being around friends and being mischievous. At an early age he discovered his love for food. He enjoyed his time on the road working and after working at Motel 6.
Ogre was a loyal, loving family man. He loved to give out nicknames to anyone around him. He was the guy to call if you were having vehicle issues. It didn't matter how far you were or how deep the ditch it was, he would answer and be there. He loved to find and fix up vehicles with his dad and friends'. He was also an avid player of video games. He enjoyed talking with friends and family about the spirit world.
Ogre is survived by his son Leeland Hubers, his father Wade Hubers, Stepfather Kenny Bawyn, his 3 sisters - Amanda "Commander" Detke, Mikayla Hubers (Justice Eherer-Ross) Mackenzie Hubers. Special cousin Angie Denny, his best friends' Vernon Highdale and Andrew "Timmy" Williams, his aunt Josephine Steeno, his uncle's Robert Skenadore (Anna), Lee Hill, John Hill (Ellie).
He was preceded in death by his mother Jennifer Bawyn, grandparents- Zelda Metoxen, Nova and Genevieve Hill, Aunt Crystal Watchal, Aunt Sandy (Rollie) Johnson, his uncle John "Hulk" Lefebvre, and cousin Damien Hill.
Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th Street De Pere, WI 54115, on Wednesday January 28, 2026. Visitation will start at 9:00am and go until the time of service at 11:00am with Bob Brown speaking. The Oneida Hymn Singers will begin their song service at 10:30am. Ogre will be laid to rest at The Oneida Sacred Burial Grounds following the service.
In lieu of flowers, monitary dontations are requested to establish a trust fund for Ogre's son, Leeland.
