Steven J. Scannell, 63, of Green Bay, passed away the morning of Wednesday November 24, 2021 The son of the late Ellsworth "Cub" and Cecilia (Queoff) Scannell was born December 10, 1958 in Green Bay. He attended Abbot Pennings and went on to earn a degree from St. Norbert College, in business. Steve was the owner and operator of Elite Drywall for many years. He was a very active golfer and participated in many golf outings. He always enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and he always loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Deann Scannell and Kelly Scannell: 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Trevor, Emily-Ann (Holley), Riley, Arthur, and Grayson Scannell. Sisters; Judy Basten, Nancy Carlson, Sue Smith and sister-in-law Linda Scannell; nieces and nephews, Polly (John) Willis, Andy (Jane) Basten, Julie (Bob) Brocker, Mike (Randi) Basten, Casey (partner Loren) Brozek, Erin (Travis) Reiland, Tyler (Katie) Smith, Riley (Laura) Smith, as well many beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth, and Cecilia Scannell; his brother, Andrew Scannell and brother-in-law Gary Basten.
Visitation will be at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth St., from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday December 3rd. We ask that all attendance wear something that resembles the Packers. Visitation will continue at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St. Saturday December 4th after 9:30. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
