Sylvia "Sis" Castelic, 94, of West De Pere passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Sylvia was born December 2, 1926 in Beaver WI, daughter of Leo and Mary (Parczick) Tubiszewski. On June 28, 1947, Sylvia married Michael Castelic at Blessed Sacrament Church in Milwaukee, WI. As a young couple, they moved to West De Pere, where they raised 4 sons and 1 daughter. She enjoyed going up north to their cottages in Crivitz and Armstrong Creek, playing cards, baking bread with her grandchildren and doing laundry. Sylvia worked at Woodside Nursing Home, West De Pere High School as a custodian and Palmer Manufacturing. She volunteered for American Red Cross blood drives, belonged to the Red Hats and was active at Nicolet Terrace Apartments. She looked forward to playing bingo and preparing the alter for mass every Saturday. Celebrating in her memory and deeply missed by her children, Edward (Terri), children Amy, Ryan (Samantha) and Kristi (Ryan) Sorensen, Karen (Paul) Ambrosius, children Samantha (Peter) Gillis, Wylie and Cassandra (Curtis) Zerjav, Daniel (Sharon), children Susan, Courtney and Kaitlyn (Fiancé Josh), daughter in-laws Kay Castelic Thomson, children Carl (Trish) and Nancy (Scott) Mc Caskey and Judy Castelic, children Ben (Cristy) and Kimberly (Alex) Shepard and 13 great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by two brothers Ray (Florence), Junior, and two sister in-laws Jackie Michaels and Eileen Tubiszewski. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband Michael, two sons Carl and Michael L., her parents, eight brothers, two sisters, Beatrice, Sylvia's twin and Millie. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Sage Meadows and Heartland Hospice. A private service will be held for immediate family only.
