Tawnya A. "Shorty" Corn, 31, of Oneida, passed away Tuesday evening, March 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Roxanne Stevens-Katers and the late Finley Peters Jr. was born on December 11, 1983 in Green Bay. She was a 2002 graduate of Pulaski High School.
Tawnya worked at Oneida Casino. She loved playing darts, volleyball, and spending time with nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her son, Gavin Jourdan; fianc, Steven Cowman; her mother, Roxanne Katers and significant other Charlie; two brothers, Raymond M. Corn (partner Don Anderson), Kyle (Crystal) Stevens; one sister, Christl Stevens; half-brother, Christopher Corn; nieces and nephews, Rae Ann Peters, Alexzander Waukau, Andrew Christjohn, LaRisa Stevens, Sophia Metoxen, Daegan Bears Stevens, Kylynn T. Stevens, Jayar Stevens, Hunter Stevens; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her cats, Oreo and Butters. She was preceded in death by her daddy, Finley Peters Jr.; her biological father, Raymond Corn Jr.; maternal grandparents, Buck and Geraldine Stevens; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Leona Corn Sr.; brother and sister, Jason and Dixie Stevens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Oneida Methodist Cemetery. The family extends a special thank you to St. Mary's Hospital, Unity Hospice, County Rescue, and Oneida Health Center for their care and concern, as well as all of her family and friends who visited in the last days.
