Teresa "Tracy" L. Van Schyndel, 88, West De Pere, spent her last precious moments surrounded by her four loving daughters before entering Eternal Life on Saturday, July 31, 2010. She was born February 14, 1922 in West De Pere, a daughter of the late Antone and Rose (Calaway) Keyzer. On June 12, 1948 she married Martin P. Van Schyndel. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1980. Marty and Tracy farmed in the town of Lawrence for many years.
Tracy was a member of St. Boniface, St. Boniface Christian Mothers Assn, and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family. She was a faithful servant and ended each day praying the Rosary and Novena's. Tracy loved playing cards, doing ceramics, and most of all spending time with her family.
Tracy is survived by her children: Gail (Fred) Bengsch, Green Bay, Joan (Tom) Vanden Branden, West De Pere, Mary Lynn (Wayne Jr.) Bero, West De Pere, and Janice (Glenn) Hewitt, West De Pere; eight grandchildren: Justin (Nicole) Hewitt, West De Pere, Troy (Jen) Hewitt, Green Bay, Bryan (fiance Kimberly St. Louis) Bero, Green Bay, Brooke (Dave) Lewellyn, Cecil, Blayne Bero, West De Pere, Brett Bero, West De Pere, Brad Vanden Branden (who will be vested into the Norbertine Order on August 27), West De Pere, and Kally Vanden Branden, West De Pere; great grandchildren: Caden Hewitt, Rachel Lynn Lewellyn, and a soon to be great granddaughter on September 9. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law Dolores Van Schyndel, Jane Keyzer, Beulah Van Schyndel, and Clara Van Schyndel; brother-in-law Wencil "Jim" Krines, nieces, nephews, and her Bible Study Group.
Tracy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marty; sisters Josephine (Clem) Jansen, and Mary Krines; brother Francis Keyzer; brothers-in-law George (Betty) Van Schyndel, John Van Schyndel, Tony Van Schyndel, and Ted Van Schyndel; sisters-in-law Ann (John) Van Boxtel, Dorothy (Ray) Jacques, Marie (Clarence) Daoust and special nephew Dave Jansen, George Van Schyndel, Jr and niece Jeanne Van Boxtel.
Visitation for Tracy will be Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME. 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, from 4:00 to 7:30 PM. A Rosary service will follow at 7:30PM lead by Sr. Helen Keyzer. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish, 1307 Lourdes Ave, De Pere, from 9:00 AM until Mass time. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem, officiating, Fr. James Neilson, O. Praem, and Deacon Mike Vander Bloomen concelebrating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Our family would like to thank Janice and Glenn Hewitt for opening their home to provide love and care for Mom, the staff at Walnut Grove, Heartland Hospice, and Dr. Bruce Fenster for all they did for Tracy.
She lived well, She loved much, and She laughed often.
