Tessa Gen Schweiner, 30, Downers Grove, IL. formerly of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2017. Tessa was born in Winfield, IL August 22, 1986 to Gregory Schweiner and Joan Laehn. Tessa graduated from Green Bay East High School, and was a violinist for the Green Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra. She graduated from Rockford College with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology and a BA minor in Arts. Tessa enjoyed camping, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, tennis, running marathons, cross country skiing, music and art. She was an avid reader and a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. She loved British television, especially Dr. Who. Tessa loved animals, especially her cats, Elle, Veronica and Alfie. As an ABA therapist, Tessa was devoted to helping autistic children who then became her extended family. Tessa is survived by her parents, Joan Laehn, Green Bay and Gregory Schweiner, Sleepy Hollow, IL. a sister, Erika Schweiner (fiancé Dale Bomski), Maribel, her maternal grandparents, Charles (Dorothy) Laehn; a niece and nephew, Rohin and Roselette, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Gerald and LaVerne Schweiner Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10:00 am until the prayer service at 12:00.
