Theodore Joseph "Ted" or "Joe" Willems, 86, passed away Thursday morning, July 18, 2024. The son of Joseph and Marian (Ambrosius) Willems was born in Green Bay on June 10, 1938. On April 28, 1962, he married Joanne Stadler at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna.
Theodore spent his career in the mill at Proctor & Gamble. He enjoyed his travels to Florida for the winter, also traveling across the country and the world with Joanne. Prior to spending winters in Florida, he liked to snowmobile with the kids in winter and go boating in the summer up north at the cabin.
He is survived by his three children: Patrick (Lu Ann) Willems of Hilbert, Carol (Paul) Primakow of Silver Cliff, WI, and Michael (Bonnie) Willems of Green Bay; eight grandchildren: Antone, Jacob, Tanya, Sarah, Sammy Jo, Charlie, Amber, and Nicole; and twelve great grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings, Helen Calhoon, Leslie "Les" (Diane Rybicki) Willems and Mary (Rick) Nickel; sisters-in-law Betty and Mary Pat; and members of his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 52 years, Joanne; parents, Joe and Marian; grandson, Brandon Maes; siblings, Jim, Richard and infant David; and other extended family members.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, corner of Oneida St and Cormier Road from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in De Pere.
