Obituary

(Due to road construction on Heritage Road, please take County Road PP to Old Martin Road to Sportsman Drive for St. Mary's Church) Thomas W. Boehnlein, 76, of De Pere, passed away on November 23, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ with family by his side. The son of the late William and Adelaide (Klingbail) Boehnlein was born on August 26, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI. On November 24, 1984 Tom married Elaine Hazaert in Green Bay, WI. He enjoyed reading, playing cards with friends, watching the Packers, and before his illness loved to travel and work on construction projects. Tom was most recently a Regional Sales Manager for In-Sinkerator, before his retirement in 2005. Previous to that he and Elaine built and opened Elaine's House of Brides in 1983 until their retirement from the business in 2004. He was known as "Mr. Fix-it" around the store. Tom is survived by his wife Elaine; two daughters, Margaret and Mary Boehnlein; three sons, John, Mark, and Jeff Boehnlein; stepdaughter, Jenni (Wayne) Willems; stepson, Mark (Deborah) Mertens; five granddaughters; five stepgrandaughters; a brother, William (Barbara) Boehnlein; four brothers-in-law, Ken (Mary) Hazaert, Ron (Sandy) Hazaert, Dan (Jennifer) Hazaert, Gary (Debbie) Hazaert; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Billy Boehnlein; and his mother and father-in-law, Felix and Eleanor Hazaert. Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, WI on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A wake service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Community, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview from 9:30am until 10:30am when a Memorial Mass will be held with Fr. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Special thanks to Barrow Neurological Institute, Pueblo Norte Assisted Living, and Hospice of the Valley, all located in the Phoenix area of Arizona for their compassionate care shown towards Tom and the family. Additionally, the family would like to acknowledge in special thanks, Wayne Willems, for his continual help and support with Tom.
