Thomas J. Coonen, 72, Green Bay, passed away at Bayshore Village on October 26, 2018. He was born to the late Melvin and Isabel Coonen on April 16, 1946 in Oneida.
Thomas was in the Navy for 4 years after High School, and enjoyed boxing for all 4 years while in the service. He worked at his Dad's gas station, Fort Howard, Badger Sheet Metal, and Shade Manufacturing. Thomas enjoyed Oil Painting, fixing "Old Things", reading, his church involvement at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Green Bay, fishing with his dad, and sports. He played basketball, and baseball when younger. Thomas had a strong Catholic faith. His love of sports showed, when he cheered for the Packers, Bucks, Brewers, and Badgers. He also ushered at the Packer games for 42 years. Thomas cared mother in her final years.
He is survived by his 5 brothers, and 7 sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Pat.
Friends may call after 9:00AM Saturday November 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 145 St. Joseph Dr. Oneida. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM, with full military rites to follow. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
