Thomas J. Despins, 83, De Pere, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 21, 2025.

He was born March 31, 1942, to the late James A. and Isabella (Schneider) Despins.

On June 17, 1967, he was united in marriage to Bette Colbert in Chippewa Falls.

Tom retired from the U.S.D.A. after thirty years as a Meat Grader.

Tom loved horses and was the past president of the Hoofers Riding Club, Madison. He also raised them at his home in the country. An avid Packer fan, Tom also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and hunting.

He is survived by his children; T.J. (Krista) Despins, and Dee Dee (Peter) Korth. Grandchildren; Nathan and Sydney, as well as his sister Cleo Burris, nieces, nephews, and members of Bette's family.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bette, and his brother Jim Despins.

Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1305 Lourdes Ave., De Pere from 9:30AM – 10:45AM Friday, January 2, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family.
