Thomas J. Manders, 71, a resident of Oregon, died Friday morning, October 21, 2022, at his home.
Private Burial Rites were held at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, 2770 Bay Settlement Road in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
THOMAS JOHN MANDERS was born October 7, 1951, in De Pere, WI, the son of the late Sylvester "Sam" Manders and Audrey (Gerrits) Manders. He was raised and received his education in the De Pere community, having been a graduate of West De Pere High School Class of 1969.
He was united in marriage to Margarita N. "Rita" Skoropisova in October of 1998, in Green Bay, WI. They would have celebrated their 24th Wedding Anniversary this week. Following their marriage they resided in Green Bay, WI, until 2007, when they moved to Oregon, settling in the Hillsboro community. In October of 2013, they moved to the Forest Grove community, where they have resided since.
Thomas worked as a Opto-Mechanical Specialty Technician in the Semi-Conductor Industry for Sheilds Manufacturing, Inc. in Tualatin. He had worked for the company for years.
Among his special interests, he was an avid golfer and a Green Bay Packers fan.
Whether it was the long version or short version, Tom taught us a lot of life lessons with his stories and experiences.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester, and Audrey Manders.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Skoropisova, of the family home in Forest Grove, Oregon; his daughter and son-in-law, Anna, and Chris Tamayo, of Dublin, CA. his two brothers and sister-in-law, James and Lynette Manders, and Fred Manders, and his four sisters, Kathleen Rasmussen, her fiancée', Kevin, Sandra DuChateau, Carol Manders and Connie Manders.
