Thomas Patrick Ryan, 77, of Milwaukee passed away at home on Sunday, August 11, 2024. The son of the late Robert and Marian (Flaherty) Ryan was born July 21, 1947, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and was the first of five children for Bob and Marian.

He was a graduate of Abbot Pennings High School, attended Xavier University and enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves. Tom was an accomplished jazz musician, playing the piano and the vibes. Music was his true passion. Tom cherished his many years as tai chi instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and could frequently be found playing tai chi or meditating in the park near the Milwaukee Lakeshore.

Tom will be profoundly missed by his son, Tom; his four grandchildren, Abigail, Miles, Ella, and Tess, and siblings; Sharon, Sati, Kevin, and Nora.

Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Lawrence Cemetery.
