Thomas Vernon Van Hemelryk, age 84, of De Pere, Wisconsin died on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Tom was born on July 17,1937 in Green Bay, WI to the late August and Marie (Gerpin) Van Hemelryk. He graduated from Green Bay West High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. Tom married his high school sweetheart, Beverly, on September 7, 1957, at Bethany United Methodist Church. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage. Tom retired in July of 2000, most recently working for the Sheet Metal Union with Tweet-Garot. Tom enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, hunting and boating. The most rewarding gift in his life was watching his grandchildren grow. He is survived by his son, Gary (Kathy); grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Alicia, Bryce, Cody and Tyler; great-grandchild, Aria; and sister, Shirley DeKeuster. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; daughter, Sheri Lynn Klemme; siblings, and numerous other family and friends. Visitation for Tom will be held from 9-11 AM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1110 Echo Ln., Green Bay, WI 54304 with a Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be at 9 AM on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Allouez Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2121 Riverside Dr., Green Bay, WI 54301.
