Obituary

Vieth, Thomas L. Thomas Lloyd Vieth, 65, of Townsend, WI, was called home peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 13th, 2017. Tom was born June 1st, 1951 to the late Lloyd and Elvira Vieth. Everyone knew Tom as just that amazing, easy to talk to guy who just "rolled with the flow." Nothing ever seemed to bother Tom, life was precious to him and he believed in being the best you could possibly be. Tom was purely simple, his goal in life was to live his life the way he believed and the way god intended. Tom was a people person and loved to interact, he loved to laugh and hear everyone's stories in life and share his own along the way. Tom was known to be an amazing father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather, any type of a title Tom may have been labeled as, he was genuinely the best at it! From his days growing up in Marinette, Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends; especially if it included being on the water. Tom loved breathing in the fresh air and spending every moment possible outside doing all the activities he loved! From hunting whitetail deer, four wheeling the dirt trails he would stumble upon, snowmobiling the national forest, boating with his family, fishing for whatever nibbled on his hook, skiing down the slopes, scuba diving ship wrecks in the Great Lakes, swimming with sharks in the ocean, or traveling to wherever he pointed on the map, you name it, if it was outside, in mother nature, Tom enjoyed every minute of it! In his later years in life you could often find him "playing" in the woods in Langlade. His daily walks with his dogs and wife Barb, feeding the deer, burning stumps with his old neighbor Kenny, or building his so called "projects" and goofy ideas to improve the property! We often knew Tom to "putz," sometimes we all knew not to even ask questions, just let him do his thing and laugh along the way at whatever funny outrageous ideas he had! Everything that Tom did you couldn't help but just smile about, because deep down we all knew how genuinely happy and simply satisfied he was with his beautiful life that he was ever so proud to live! Tom spent much of his career assisting others. This included many years at AAL/Thrivent Financial helping families meet their long term financial goals. Tom then later found real estate with his wife Barb, where they teamed up and sold couples and families their beautiful homes in the north woods to get away from the "real world." Following retirement, Tom and Barb moved to Townsend where they helped people find their ideal lakefront property, always teasing themselves they will retire soon. Tom would never retire, he was a man that was go, go, go, never sitting down, always staying busy, helping others, and putting smiles on people's faces. Tom will always be remembered as the most genuine down to earth person you could ever meet, a man like Tom will never be forgotten by the people he touched in life, he was truly one of a kind! Tom's way of life was how god intended it, and he believed in it every step of the way, be the best you can possibly be and enjoy the simple things in life. Tom is survived by his wife, Barb Cramer, his children, Josh (Katie) Vieth and Sasha Vieth. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Kevin, Samuel, and William. His siblings, Betsy (Philip Brenner) Vieth and Mary Oehler. Along with Barb's brother Al (Greta) Hrubes and nephew Jordan Hrubes.
