Thomas Washienko, 69, of De Pere, died Thursday April 9, 2009 at home. The son of the late Theodore and Irene (Masterson) Washienko was born October 30, 1939 in Yonkers, NY. Tom married the former Mary Kay Hendricks at St. Boniface Church in DePere on October 30, 1965. Tom was a Manager for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty-four years, retired in 1995, and was a member of National Association of Postal Supervisors. He sang with the Green Bay Boys Choir, and was a member of the De Pere council of the Knights of Columbus. Tom was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing cards and landscaping. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay, two daughters, Patricia Washienko, Boston, MA, and Kathleen (Michael Mathieu) Washienko, Seattle, WA, grandchildren, Erin Marie and Megan Renee, his siblings, Mary and Marlin Detwiler, Chincoteague, VA, Teddy and Loretta Washienko, Southport, NC, Ellen and Bob Veiga, West Islip, Long Island, NY, Nick and Mary Ellen Washienko, Westwood, MA, Irene Powers, Pleasantville, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere , from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2009. Knights of Columbus Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue from 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, De Pere.
