Valerie K. Vallejo (nee: Elm), 72, Milwaukee, continued her journey to be with the Creator on Tuesday February 23, 2016 in Milwaukee. She was born June 16, 1943 in Gresham to the late Mitchell and Bertha Elm. Valerie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved going to POW Wows, and festivals, but family always came first. She would always do anything to make sure everyone was in a good place. Valerie's door was always open to listen to whatever you wanted to talk about. Should it be the weather, a good joke, or what might be troubling you? That was our mom. She is survived by her sons; Elias, Gordon, Ricardo (Sandy), Gilbert (Jackie), and Arthur. Her daughter Katherine "Chata" (Glenn) Olson also survives, as well as her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. Valerie was preceded in death by her husband Elias, and children; Valencia, John, and Verna. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N.
