Vera R. Batiste, 72 of Oneida, passed away surrounded by family on April 30, 2025. Vera was born on April 21, 1953 to the late Willard and Nellie (King) Johnson. She married Lee Batiste in December 29, 1971.

She always enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo with her friends. They traveled all around to play together. She went on a trip to Las Vegas with her sister Virginia and spent the weekend gambling and sight-seeing.

Vera is survived by her children, Kimberly Batiste (Carlos Godinez), Orleana Batiste (Alberto Villalba), and her grandchildren, Lexus, Brylee, Juaquin, Alejandro, Elena, Gael, Ariana, Rosalba. She is further survived by her siblings, Alan R. King, Anthony Johnson, LizAnn Johnson, Barabara Meyer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Batiste, her son Charlie Batiste, her parents, and her siblings, Virginia Johnson, Patsy Skenandore, Shirley Johnson, Marylynn Johnson.

Friends and family may call at Orleana's home, 3105 Sandia Drive, in Green Bay, WI 54313 for visitation on Saturday May 3 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will continue overnight until 10:00 AM Sunday Morning.

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice, and the staff at Anna John Nursing Home for the wonderful care they took of Vera for many years.
