Verna Mae (Jensen) Kuschel, 80, Hobart, formerly of De Pere and Clintonville, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, January 3, 2022. The daughter of Royce and Alice (Dempsey) Young was born on September 25, 1941.
Verna grew up on the farm with her brother and sister, Glen and Phyllis, and attended Clintonville High School. It was there that she met Ronald Jensen, and they married on October 1, 1959.
Together, Verna and Ronald raised their children in West De Pere. Upon Ron's passing in 1984, she went back to school and earned her associate's degree. She then worked for several financial institutions over the next decade.
Sitting at the "widow table" at their 35th high school reunion, Verna met David Kuschel and were married for fifteen years. She helped Dave run H&CS until they retired to Arizona, where they golfed and traveled the world.
Upon Dave's passing in 2009, Verna returned to the area to follow her grandchildren, who meant the world to her, in all that they did. Verna loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, and her infamous cackle were often the life of the party.
She is survived by her children, John (Amy) Jensen, Mike (Jayne) Jensen, Melissa (Chad) Coulombe and Kristin (Brian) Cisar; grandchildren, Ben (fiancé Cassie) Jensen, Katie (Jamie) Jansen, Dean (Susan) Jensen, Jessica (Ryan) Marceau, Alex (Rachel) Coulombe, Josh Coulombe, Samantha Coulombe, Jenna Hoffman, Rachel Hoffman, Mac Cisar and Bailey Cisar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Alice; husband, Ron; husband, Dave; brother, Glen; brother-in-law Jack Jensen; and other members of her extended family.
