Vernell J. Starks, 32, Green Bay, WI passed away on March 8, 2018. He was born on February 10, 1986 to Gloria Jean Starks in Chicago, IL. He attended Maine Senior High School and Joliet Junior College. Most recently, he was employed with De Pere Cabinets. Vernell enjoyed all sports, but football was his passion. He played football throughout his life. He enjoyed rides around the city with his girlfriend and loved spending time with his family and friends. Vernell's smile could light up a room, and he was always smiling. He loved joking with family and friends and would always have you smiling and laughing. Vernell loved music and being outdoors, as well as movie nights with his family. He is survived by his girlfriend, Jasmine Pelt; their daughter, Aniya; sisters, Simone and Keyara; and brothers, Tony, Willie, Terrell and Jordan. Vernell was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Jean Starks; and grandmother, Rolina Pearl Thorbs. Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. A short service will conclude visitation. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
