Victor Kane, 82, of De Pere went to Heaven to meet Doris on Monday May 23, 2011. The son of the late Edward and Emma (Novacheck) Kane was born March 12, 1929 in the Town of Larrabee. On September 9, 1950, he married the former Doris Corrigan at Old St. Joe's Church in De Pere. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1994.
Victor graduated from Catholic Central High School, Green Bay. He farmed for years in the Town of Glenmore. He also worked at Badger Northland and Yale Materials Handling Company prior to retirement.
His family includes four children, Mary Lou Jahnke, De Pere, Jean (Richard) Thompson, Plover, Larry (Gloria) Kane, Maribel, Terri Kane, Howard, two grandchildren, Bryan and Lora Jahnke, and one great-granddaughter, Felecia Jahnke, and Vic's special friend, Dee Boucher. He is also survived by his brother, Dick Kane, Denmark. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Family and friends may call at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church, the Heart of St. Norbert College, De Pere, from 9:00 to 11:00 am Thursday May 26, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday at the church with Father Conrad Kratz, O. Praem., officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
