Virginia A. Gildernick, 92, of the Town of Lawrence, died peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021. She was born October 23, 1928, in Kaukauna to the late Arnold and Ann Smith. On June 9, 1949, she married Robert Gildernick at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna.
Alongside her husband Bob, they farmed in the Town of Lawrence for over 50 years and drove bus for Lamers for over 30 years. Virginia and Bob loved to "take rides", which took them all over the Midwest.
She is survived by her daughters; Allie (Don) Gardner, Connie (Mike) Baeten, Lisa Gildernick, her sons; Mike (Denise) Gildernick, and Timm (Jessica) Gildernick. 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill (Carol) Gildernick, as well as close friends Bert (Linda) Bain further survive her.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob in 2013, grandson-in-law Adam Ribarchek, and siblings; Clarence (Elsie) Smith, Mike (Louise) Smith, Bill (Arbel) Smith, Joe (Berth) Smith, Harvey (Eleanor) Smith, Bud Smith, Viola (Ed) Janssen, Alice (Norbert) Janssen, Lillian (Reed) Mullen, and Anna Mae (Joe) Winius.
Friends may call after 9:00AM on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1305 Lourdes Ave., De Pere. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating. Burial will take place at South Lawrence Cemetery.
