Virginia I. Heuvelmans, 96, De Pere, passed away Thursday morning, December 10, 2020. She was born October 10, 1924 to the late Henry and Ella (Mettler) Vander Leest. On March 21, 1942 she married Richard Heuvelmans.
Virginia was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, De Pere. Virginia enjoyed visiting with friends at Old No. 7 for a cold beer. She had a love for dogs & was a dog owner for over 70 years.
She is survived by her children; Jim (Barb) Heuvelmans, and Sharon (Claude) Royse. Grandchildren; Todd (Sue) Heuvelmans, Troy (Becky) Heuvelmans, Robert (Staci) Gleason, Richard Gleason, Pam (special friend Don Scott) Gleason, Tom O'Connell, Dawn (Johnny) Pichardo, as well as great grandchildren. Virginia is further survived by her sisters-in-law; Deloris Vander Leest, and Betty Heuvelmans. As well as numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; two grandchildren, Patricia, and Edward Gleason; her parents; two siblings, Lois (Leonard) Harrison and Larry Vander Leest; daughter-in-law Lee (Cady) Heuvelmans, son-in-law Tom Gleason, and grandson-in-law Don Scott; Shirley Geurts; as well as other members of Richard's family.
A very special thank you to her grandson & wife, Todd & Sue Heuvelmans; her cousin, Lynn Pilz; and her neighbors, especially Linda Merrick, for care and friendship.
