Obituary

Waylon J. Metoxen, 34 of Oneida WI passed away peacefully with his mother and father by his side on January 22, 2025 in Green Bay, WI. He was born on November 23, 1990 to Wayne Metoxen and Elaine Parker. He graduated from West De Pere High School in the class of 2009. Waylon previously worked at Oneida Casino as a custodian but always preferred being called a sanitary engineer.

In his younger years, he loved being active, either playing baseball, skateboarding, and fishing. Waylon had also earned his black belt in Taekwondo and competed successfully in many tournaments.He was very proud of his hard work towards this accomplishment. He also enjoyed going on many family trips, from fishing in Canada to relaxing in Florida.

Waylon had a very kind heart and loved making people laugh and smile. He was the most down-to-earth and care-free person you ever met.

Waylon is survived by his parents, Wayne Metoxen and Elaine Paker, his sisters; Janelle, Jolene, Shannon (Kitty), Toni and Cree, and his brother Bret, and close nephews and nieces; Mikael, Marqus, G'oni and Syndee, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is further survived by his paternal grandparents Florence and Steve Petri.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lonnie Parker, and Randi Walking Eagle, grandparents; Shirley and Fredmond Hill, Andrew and Betty Parker, and Eugene (Yogi) Metoxen. He was further preceded by his aunt and uncles; Tammy Metoxen, Trina (Metoxen) Villegas; Timothy Metoxen, Rory Hill, Daniel Parker, and Marco Vasquez, as well as nephews Kordel Metoxen and D.J. Robertson.

Friends may come to call on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere. A funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 4:00 PM.
