Wayne Harold Jansen, 68, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly at home in his sleep on Saturday, March 27, 2021. The son of James and Patricia (Driessen) Jansen was born on June 24, 1952. Wayne graduated from Little Chute High School and spent his career as an electrician with Vos Electric. On November 19, 1988 he married the love of his life, Karen Summers. Together they raised their two boys, Shayne and Brent. He enjoyed heading up north to Legend Lake and watching the Brewers and Packers. More than anything, he loved watching his boys play sports throughout the years. Wayne is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Karen; his sons, Shayne and Brent (Elizabeth); sisters, Sandy (Jay) Van Thiel, Cheryl (Tom) McCarthy and Bev (Jerry) Romenesko. He is further survived by Karen's family; Sandy Fitzgerald, Dick (Kim) Summers, Nancy (Jim Paape) Summers, Jan Van Den Heuvel, and Gary Janssen; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia; parents-in- law Al and Dorothy (Bain) Summers; sister-in-law Mary Janssen; brother-in-law Tom Fitzgerald and other members of his extended family. At Wayne's request, no formal funeral services will be held. A celebration of Wayne's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
