IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wayne
Rasmussen
September 1, 1955 – July 10, 2024
Wayne Gerald Rasmussen, 68, passed away at home, on July 10, 2024, and went on to ask God, "What's the good word?" He was born in Green Bay, WI on September 1, 1955, to Jerry Rasmussen and Deloris Worsch Rasmussen.
Wayne was a graduate of West De Pere High School where he started many of his lifelong friendships. After school he set out to become a hard worker in the flooring industry and eventually started his own business, Rasmussen Industrial Flooring. Wayne had the motto of work hard, play hard. He was a man with passion for life and enjoyed many activities like riding his Harley, boating, making his famous booyah, spending time in Florida and watching football – especially the Packers. Wayne always loved making new friends wherever he went, many of which became second family to him and treated them just as that. He was the first person to show up and help with a project, he was the man to call for anything and would provide all his generosity and support. He truly enjoyed lending a helping hand to the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin. Wayne had an extreme love for his family and friends, and it was always his goal to make them laugh. He was a strong man but would melt at the hands of his kids and grandkids.
His family includes his daughters Renee Rasmussen (Joe) and Katie Rasmussen, grandchildren Damien Trepanier and Audrina Schneider, his mother Deloris, siblings, Jean and Mike Vande Hei, Marlene Rasmussen, Diane and Randy Peters, Joan Van Den Elsen, Cheryl and Bill Veazie, Lori and Cary Hendricks, Tammy and Kevin Verheyen, Todd and Carrie Rasmussen, his Godchildren Jon, Abby and Breanna, his many nieces and nephews and cousins. Wayne is also survived by his aunts and an uncle, Janice and John Nooyen, Shirley Worsch and Ruth VerHaagh. He was preceded in the death by his father, Jerry Rasmussen and brother, Dave Rasmussen, grandparents, Alvin and Ella Rasmussen and Otto and Margaret Worsch and many cousins.
