Wendy Rueda, 51, Cecil, WI., passed away unexpectedly following a near decade long battle with multiple debilitating health issues on July 12, 2021. She was born on October 26, 1969, to Connie and Dave Sabrowski of Oconto Falls. She was such a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She attended West High School and graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College as an electrical mechanical technician. Mom loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. She loved gardening and tending to her plants around the house. Mom enjoyed finding rummage sales and buying more things she did not need. Mom also loved to fish. She loved nothing more than waking up early, grabbing her kayak and trying to land the biggest bass or northern she could and then bragging about it of course. Mom loved going camping with her children and grandchildren. So many years and great memories made at Yogi Bear as the kids were growing up. So many great memories made at Kalahari for our annual family trips. Mom loved her farmhouse and was always working on more than one project at a time. Mom will always be the heart of our family. She loved everyone unconditionally and always wanted to help as many people as she could, even if it meant pushing through her pain. She just wanted to see everyone happy, and she strived to do anything she could to make it happen. Mom loved her youngest daughter Savannah deeply; she was the apple of her eye. Mom wanted to give her the world, everything she thought she could never give to her other children. She loved raising chickens and ducks with her. She always wanted a little hobby farm and Savannah was able to make that dream come alive for her. Her son Mike was her baby boy. They shared the same passion for being outdoors and living off the land. Their bond was unbreakable and no matter what happened she was always there for him. Mom knew her oldest daughter Katie was always the strong one that she did not have to worry too much about. She always knew when something was wrong though, and she was the only person that could make it better for her. She never gave up on her, ever. Mom made such an impact on her family that to say she will be greatly missed is underestimating the amount of grief her family is feeling over such a great loss of life. Mom suffered from multiple debilitating health conditions that the specialists really did not know anything about, it was that rare. Any other person would have succumbed years ago to the excruciating headaches and chronic pain, but mom always pushed forward with a smile on her face to make as many new memories with her children and grandchildren as she could before it all just got to be to much for her to carry. We know how much love mom had for her family and we can only hope she felt the same amount of love back and knew how much everyone loved and needed her.
Mom is survived by her long-time life partner of 30 years, Timothy Kowalski. Through all the good times and the bad times, Tim never left moms' side. He supported and encouraged her through her multiple hospitalizations and when she was at her lowest. He did everything he could.
She is survived by her children Katie Hagerstrom, Mike (Misty) Rueda, and Savannah Ziehms. Her grandchildren who absolutely adored her; Jayda and Caden Hagerstrom, and Paytenn, Piper, and Parker Rueda. She is further survived by her siblings; Eric (Tracy) Tyczkowski, Cindy LeSage, and Buddy Rueda. She was preceded in death by her mother Connie Sabrowski who we know was there to greet mom with open arms into the gates of Heaven,

Special thank you to Jon Ziehms, who was always there to help her with whatever he possibly could to make sure that both her and Savannah were looked after.

We love and miss you so much, much more than you ever imagine. Although you left us with so many wonderful memories, our hearts ache for more. We hope we make you proud. Everything we do will have you in mind. If there is anything we take comfort in as a result of this terrible loss, its knowing that you will never be in pain again. We love you so much mom. Love, Tim, Katie, Mike, Savannah, Jayda,Caden, Paytenn, Piper and Parker.
