Wendy Marie Wolak, 59, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2023. Wendy was born in Green Bay, WI on May 8, 1964 to the late Cyril and Darlene (Garrity) Van Camp.

Wendy was raised for most of her life in Green Bay, she enjoyed a happy childhood spending time at the cottage in Legend Lake with her parents and siblings. In school she excelled in track, photography and art. She graduated from Suring High School, class of 1982.

As a teenager, she started working at Green Bay Foods (currently Treehouse Foods), where she embarked on a career leading her to contribute in the capacity of several operator roles. The role that she particularly flourished in was pasteurizer operator, in which she found her greatest success and took great pride in.

In 2001, after a brief career change to Kerr McGee in Las Vegas, she returned to her hometown and to Green Bay Foods where she met her future husband, Vance Wolak. On June 2, 2006 Wendy and Vance were married in Oconto, WI. For the next 17 years, they enjoyed a marriage full of happiness.

Wendy felt great joy in spending time with her neighbors, playing cards at family get-togethers, and taking care of animals, particularly their chickens, cats, and German shepard.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Vance, her sisters Cindy Linssen and Wanda (Dennis) Raymaker, her brothers Dennis Van Camp and Wayne Van Camp, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Darlene Van Camp.

Family and friends may call to Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere, WI 54115, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023. A Memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Father Richard Getchel officiating. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
