Obituary

William (Bill) Gene Brumlic, 88, passed away peacefully at Caretta Senior Living on July 15, 2025, with his caregivers and family by his side. Bill was born in Oconto, WI on August 1, 1936 to the late Frank and Lillian Brumlic.

Bill enjoyed spending time at his grandparents' farm helping with the horses and farming when he was growing up. He graduated from Green Bay East High School and later studied at UWGB. He served in the U.S. Army as a private first class (cook) and also was trained as a ranger. He finished his duty in the U.S. Army Reserve. He married Celene (Sally) Rondou on October 3, 1959 and they were married for 65 years!

Bill worked for Paper Converting Machine Company and Neff Engineering. He enjoyed helping others with their careers in fluid power. Bill and his wife Sally especially enjoyed their many dogs and horses. Bill loved the outdoors and spent time hunting, fishing, riding, and driving horses, skiing, boating and sailing in Oconto and Sturgeon Bay with his wife Sally.

Bill is survived by his son Mark (Christy) Brumlic, daughter Celene (Mark) Lauer; four grandchildren, Ryan (Marissa) Brumlic, Sarah (Mitch) DeGrave, Diana (Sean) Kennedy, and Jake (Chelsea) Lauer; six great grandchildren, Natalie and Matthew Kennedy, Cleo and Morry Brumlic, Rowan and Jace DeGrave; his sisters Gloria (Ted) Hansen, Jackie Bollinger, and Judy (Wayne) Peterson; sister-in-law Charlotte Rondou and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Frank and Lillian Brumlic, wife Celene (Sally Rondou) Brumlic, his daughter Alice Brumlic, sister Diane (Brumlic) Ford and brother-in-law Jack Ford, mother and father-in-law Les and Harriet Rondou.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano, WI on August 16, 2025 at 10:30 with Chaplain Ron presiding.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the memory care staff/caregivers at Caretta Senior Living along with the caregivers at Bristol Hospice that provided exceptional care for our father. You are all amazing!
