William L. Burke, 82 of De Pere passed away early Wednesday morning December 26, 2012. He was born in Green Bay on May 23, 1930 to the late Leo and Margie (Ryan) Burke. On December 11, 1951 he married Carol Cornelissen at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenleaf. William served his country in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1971. He then went to work for Wisconsin Public Service from 1974 until 1990. He is survived by his wife Carol, his children, Jim (Marti) Burke, Danville, CA, Joe (Brenda) Burke, Ft. Collins, CO, Sue Minten, De Pere, Donna Liebergen, Oshkosh, John (Kelly) Burke, Sturgeon Bay, Jerry (Mary Jo) Burke, Sturgeon Bay, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brother in law Kenny Willems, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and Carol's family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Sylvester and Vivian Cornelissen, his brother Edward, his sisters Helen Willems, Pat (Robert) Peeters, Eileen (Joe) Vander Zanden, Mary (Francis "Buzz") Hessel, in laws Leo Diny and Mary Ellen Cornelissen, two nieces and one nephew. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere on Friday December 28, 2012 from 4 8pm, with a parish prayer service at 4pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am with Fr.
