William "Bill Corn" Cornelius, 86, Wrightstown, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus Christ and his beloved wife Gerry. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was born August 20, 1923 in Oneida, WI a son of the late Harvey and Delia (House) Cornelius. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He married the former Gerry Cornelius on February 22, 1948 and she preceded him in death on April 1, 1983.
Bill was a devout member of Holy Apostle Episcopal Church and the Oneida United Methodist Church. He retired from Menasha Corp after 37 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, watching the races, and puttering around.
Bill is survived by his children: Ginny (Alex) Fluette, Oneida, Rocky (fianc Nevada Moats) Cornelius, Weyaweuga, and Billie Jo (Torland) Cornelius-Adkins, Oneida; grandchildren: Sean (special friend Renee Fandel) Fluette, Amy (Alex) Spears, and Anokhi Cornelius-Adkins; special friend Dorothy Skenandore; siblings: Dempsey (Marie) Cornelius, Mary "Rags" Cornelius, and Dorothy Tabor; sisters-in-law Maddy (Roger) Genskow and Gwen Skenandore; daughter-in-law Cyndee Cornelius; numerous nieces and nephews; and his companions Pepe and Barney.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gerry; siblings: Leo Cornelius, Margie Antos, Ruth Grover, Rebecca (Kenneth) House, Hayward (Mary Ann) Cornelius, and Louis Cornelius; brothers-in-law Vernon (Arlis) Cornelius and Jim Skenandore; sisters-in-law Florence (Bud) Elm, Winifred (Russell) Skenandore, Carol (Dick) Robelia; and parents-in-law Isaiah (Genevieve) Cornelius and Ingrid Grover and Harvey Zember.
Visitation for Bill will be Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Oneida United Methodist Church, N3067 County Rd E, Oneida, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM at church with Rev.
