William H. Gildernick Jr., 91, Town of Lawrence, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022. He was born June 13, 1931, to the late William and Bernice (Clough) Gildernick Sr. On June 13, 1951, he married Charlotte A. (Nechodom) Gildernick and she preceded him in death on September 6, 1992. On June 10, 1995, Bill married Carol A. (Paape) Gildernick.
Bill started his career in farming and was one of the original Lamers Bus Line drivers, he continued his career with the Army Corp of Engineers, where he worked repairing the locks and dams on the Fox River, retiring after 29 years. He was a member of the Draft Horse Association, Trail Blazers Horse Club, and past member of the Lawrence Fire Department and Town of Lawrence Supervisor.
He enjoyed traveling to Horse pulls throughout WI., MI., and FL. And wintering in Florida with Charlotte and Carol.
Bill is survived by his wife Carol, children; Patricia (James) Coulthard, Dan Gildernick, Charlene (David) Liesch, and Adam (Amy) Gildernick. Grandchildren; Jessica Bliskey, Aaron (Rachel) Gildernick, Bryan Gildernick, Brooke Gildernick, Abby Gildernick, and Taylor Arndt, as well as 7 great grandchildren, and 3 stepchildren, Elizabeth Paape, Jeffrey (Mindy) Paape, Janice (Lee) Kingston and Carol's brother Lee (Emma) Ebel.
He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte, stepson James Paape, as well as his siblings; Lial (Clifford) Englebert, Beverly (Erving) Garrity, Robert (Virginia) Gildernick, and brothers and sisters-in laws; Robert (Lorraine) Nechodom, Joseph (Eileen) Nechodom, Gerald (Elsie) Nechodom, and Alice (Sonny) Garvey.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, after 3:00PM Thursday, July 21st, until time of service at 7:00PM with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating burial at South Lawrence Cemetery.
