William Charles Komsi, 83, resident of De Pere, Wi, passed away Friday night, June 4, 2021. He was born on January 17, 1938 to Aili Sorvala and John Komsi in Saulte Ste Marie, Michigan. He attended Hurley High School, UW– Madison, and UW- Milwaukee. He married Carol Ridgley on June 24, 1959 in Green Bay, Wi at St. John Evangelical Church. William was a CFO at UW- Milwaukee, St. Olaf College, and St. Norbert College. He retired from Saint Norbert College in 2000. He enjoyed many Saint Norbert athletics, especially hockey and football, as well as watching the Green Bay Packers. William is survived by his wife Carol, and their children, Karin (David) Barrett, and Diane Komsi, as well as his grandchildren, Ryan, Ian (Rebecca), Anna, Lydia (Jakob), and great grandchild Wilder Barrett. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aili and John, his brother Jack, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, Wi 54115. A service will follow at 6:30 P.M., with Rev. Julie Barger officiating.
