Yvonne Elsie Jourdan, age 85 of Oneida, WI, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was born in Oneida to the late Henry and Mary (Powless) Jourdan on July 5, 1940.

She graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in business. She worked for the Oneida Nation for many years. During her marriage, she had four children Susan, Dean Jr., Michelle, and Kristina.

She enjoyed traveling, and went all over the United States, and around the world including China, Germany, Jamacia, and Mexico. She also loved sewing and made quilts for most of her family members. She loved tending to her garden and spent a lot of time cooking and canning her vegetables for her family. She loved baking for her family. She also enjoyed singing and playing guitar with her siblings in their younger days; one of her nicknames being Diana Ross. She was an avid bingo fan and went to the casino every Thursday.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She had a very loving and giving personality, and her family was very important to her, while she also enjoyed being independent. She was a strong, passionate, and intelligent person. She was very talented overall and really enjoyed all her hobbies.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Susan (Arlie) Doxtator, Dean Tubby, Michelle (John) Nicholas, and Kristina (Brandon) Metoxen, as well as her grandchildren, Danielle, Dusty, Cheyenne, Deanna, Jeremy, Danielle, Cree, Te’Sia, Stephanie, Akasha, Amber, Brian, Brady, Ariana, Rosalia, Mauricio, and Beckham, as well as 31 great-grandchildren , and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is further preceded by her siblings, Judi Jourdan, Henrietta Daly, Diane Jourdan, Henry Jourdan, in-laws, Janice Jourdan, Diana Demaree, Tom Thorstenson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jonathan Tubby, ex-husband Dean Tubby Sr., as well siblings, Mildred (Frank) Figueroa, Virgil Jourdan, Ronald (Joannie) Jourdan, Kenneth Jourdan, Patricia (Jackie) Benson, Barbara (James) McKinzie, and brother-in-law Thomas Daly.

Family and friends may come to call on Monday, May 18, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 2937 Freedom Rd, Oneida, WI 54155. The Oneida Hymn Singers Song service will begin at 10:30 am. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Biegler officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Apostles Cemetery.
