Obituary for Brad J. McGinley

Bradley “Brad” John McGinley, 56, De Pere, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017. He was born on June 8, 1960 to Dennis and Judy (Lenss) McGinley in Antigo, WI. He was a graduate of West De Pere High School and went on to graduate from NWTC with a focus in Architectural Design. Brad married Mary Pat Reesink on May 26, 1984 at St. Anthony’s Church in Davenport, IA. Brad was Owner and Vice President at Independent Installation Services (IIS) in Green Bay.

Brad was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and a Boy Scout leader. He volunteered much of his time at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School including founding the Our Lady of Lourdes Fishing Tournament where all proceeds went towards rebuilding the school playground where his children attended school. Brad was a dedicated and beloved soccer and pom dad, never missing an event. He was so proud of his children and was their biggest supporter.

Brad first and foremost cherished spending time with his beloved wife, children, family and friends. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and skiing out west with his boys, fishing at the “island”, golfing, and riding his bike. He was an extremely talented artist and craftsman designing beautiful custom furniture for his family and friends. Brad was a founding member of Dad’s Camp and will be remembered for his compassion and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. Brad was the first to make friends with strangers and always put a smile on our faces.

Brad is survived by his wife, Mary Pat, and their children, Erin McGinley, Appleton, WI; Ryan (Julia Pentek) McGinley, De Pere, WI; John McGinley, De Pere, WI; and Eric (Heather) Smet, Green Bay, WI. He is further survived by his parents, Dennis and Judy McGinley and brothers and sisters, Katheryn McGinley, Murrells Inlet, SC; Lori (Bob) Casey, Green Bay, WI; Julie (Jay) McKibbins, Bloomington, MN; and Colleen (Jeff) Scanlan, Sun Prairie, WI. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
